3.        2010 Tax Credit:  The available tax credit on new equipment is 30% of the installed cost, up to $1500.  Heat pumps must be 15 SEER or higher; gas furnaces must be 95% or higher, and package systems must be 14 SEER or higher.  You can read more here.
